The hereditary ruler of Tetavon, the family of the Lewdorffs (ne Leudorf) were among the original families that rised up the great crusade against the forces of Evil in Tetavon. The family of Leudorf was the principal fund-raiders for the crusade and as such, they were the commanders of the largest forces. Toward the end of the crusade, the nobles involved in the crusade saw the Leudorfs were going to end up in control of the realm and began jockeying for the political positions needed to establish their own realms within the new kingdom.
Several other lesser families established themselves in regions of the kingdom and through time, have also become the hereditary rulers of provinces, owing fealty to the Leudorf family and King Lewdorff, the present day ruler of Tetavon. Although the usual amount of squabbling occurs among the heirs of the various titles, the political structure of the realm is relatively stable and undisrupted except for minor political in-fighting of the nobles. Marriages, alliances, treaty and agreements occur among the noble families and happen with regularity, keeping the King on the move to all of the various feasts, tournaments and ceremonies. A period of peace has existed for a number of decades, although recently, rumblings from within The Sinks has begun to concern the King and he is considering a partial mobilization of the army in preparation for a mission against the Evil.
